MIRENA

I HAD AN IUC PUT IN MARCH 17 AND IT HAS BEEN FINE BUT NOW IM 6 DAYS LATE.. I HAD INTERCOURSE TWICE WITHOUT A CONDOM SINCE THEN.. IT'S STILL IN PLACE.. I CAN FEEL THE STRINGS.. I KNOW ITS NORMAL NOT TO HAVE A PERIOD SOMETIMES.. SHOULD I BE WORRIED A BOUT BEING PREGNANT??

as far as being pregnant, its always a possibility. test if you feel the need.

Take a test, if it's negative it would just be the Mirena.

is anyone using mirena??

I had mine put in at about 10 wks post partum, and I am still spotting. I've yet to have a regular period. My daughter is 6 1/2 mths old now, and I went more than 2 days without bleeding for the first time about 3 weeks ago. So no telling what it could be doing to you. It's probably just the mirena!

I thought it was only me that had them bleeding problems. If I could take a pill or whatever daily or weekly I would do it, but I know it's not possible, plus in the long run the Mirena is much cheaper! I have had mine for about 6 and a half months as well. Just this month I thought I was one of the lucky 20% not to get my period...a week late I got it.   But it was very very light!  

To op...20% of Mirena IUD users quit getting their period. It can take your body 4-6 months to adjust to it.

i took a test and it was negative.. i finally stopped the spotting it couldn't taked it.. i know to be more careful.. i don't want another scare like that.. jaelynn is only 3 months im not ready for another one yet. i'll post some pics since i don't know how to put one as my display pic.

You shouldn't have to be more careful necessarily.  I was told that the IUD's are 99% effective.  You're probably just reacting to the hormones in the Mirena.  My SIL has had one for five years (just about time to replace it) and she said she never bleeds.  I went with the Paragard, so I always get mine, but I wouldn't stress too much about it.  Just keep some tests handy in case you get worried.

i use it. i've had it in since feb 26th. my hubby has felt it in me, but i don't stick my finger up there and check. how do you know if it's in the right spot? where exactly is the string? i'm just too scared to check for some reason. weird i know, but still.
