I honestly don't feel like being dragged to court and having to redo the child support order when he gets too far behind and all that. He'll get small jobs and have to report it to his PO and then the domestic relations office is notified and then we have to go in and it's a waste of my time.

I haven't gotten anything from him since March. I had to send in money to keep his ass out of jail when we got called in for him being to far behind. We were together at the time and he had a good under the table job but a few days before the money was due, the guy didn't have anymore work for him

Not in WA either. Especially if you're getting help thru the state. They won't count it as income if you're not getting it, but they will still go after him because they're helping you with HIS child. It'll just rack up.

I didn't get child support for thee longest time then suddenly BAM i got a check for a couple thousand dollars. lol. I think that was his tax refund but still.. don't close the case! The money will build up til your child is 18 and I'm sure he won't be jobless forever, and when he gets a job you will recieve child support and all his taxes if his tax return is less than the amount he owes. Well that's how it was for me anyways.

He'll be in jail soon for it. He only owed $400 and if we didn't send $150, which was the minim, he would have went to jail for 6 months. Him being in jail doesn't help so idk why they even put them in jail. And them taking away his license doesn't help because you need to drive every where here. I know people that in our county they only gave them a month after getting out of jail to pay off so of it or they went back to jail.

To answer your question. as far as I know, any kind of assistance you are on you are required to cooperate with them for child support. He doesn't get an option of just not paying when you are receiving government assistance.

I really don't see how I am. He doesn't live with me. He has to find his own way to get food and a place to live. We don't even talk anymore. I saw him once in the last month.
