Higher than normal blood pressure - Temporary or permanent ?

I just had my son the 26th via C-section. The day of and the day after my blood pressure was normal , but about the afternoon during vital check at the hospital it was starting to elevate . all theat day it was high aswell as the next, the highest it got was 157/100 but they discharged me anyways saying it was probably due to the stress of my newborn being in the NICU . As soon as I got home I started to feel much better, and when I had checked my blood pressure I was on the low end of being high , about 140/80 . Today I checked again and it was 136/88 . SO it is much lower than when i was in the hospital .
I called my OB and the nurse told me that its normal for your blood pressure to be a little out of wack after delivery , and to just check it once a day but if it gets higher than 140 / 90 to call them back . My next OB appointment is on the 8th , and she said it should be back to normal by then .
Im just concerned that this could be something more serious than they made it seem . Idk if Im just being paranoid and causing more stress on myself making it higher than normal lol Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced temporary HBP after delivery and if it went away soon after or not ..

Granted I've had Pre-e both pregnancies, but after I had my first son, my BP was down before I left the hospital. My second son, it stayed high. They had me come in at 1 week, 3 weeks, and 6 weeks pp and it was still high so they put me on meds. I was on them for 3 months. When I lost the pregnancy weight, it helped. I'm not on them anymore but my new normal bp stays around 140/82-88
