Period after you took the abortion pill?

Ok so I took the abortion pill the 18th of june I bleed for almost a month I started my period Yesterday and last night i went threw 3 super tampons today hasnt been as heavy but there are some pretty decent size clots ive noticed. Is it normal for you period to be like this after you terminated a pregnancy? The drs told me not to worry about the fallow up appt so i never had one. :/ never been threw this before so just want to make sure everything is going normal.

You should DEFINITELY have a follow up appointment. You have to make sure that the pill was 100% effective. Your period should be normal if it worked correctly.

I didn't think there was such a thing, you can't terminate a pregnancy with a pill? Just prevent it, right? .. like plan b? Anyways hope you get it figured out and are ok!

Should i just call my OBGYN to see if she can do a follow up since the clinic said not to worry about it? I had one scheduled with them and i didnt realize it was when i was out of town so when i call to reschedule they asked me some questions and said i should be fine and not to worry about the follow up. I thought it was odd but like i said ive never done this before.

Anyway OP you definitely should have had a follow up visit. Not sure why your doctors said you didn't. I do not remember clotting like that after my abortion.

No its a couple pills. i forgot what they are called one ends the pregnancy and then you take 4 to expel it :/

I definitely would. How big are the clots? Do you have more cramping than usual?

No everything else is normal and the clots arnt big.....nothing really different then my periods before expect a little more clots then i use to have.

No biggie   I didn't know for a while till a friend of mines sister went threw the process.

Ok... well I would make an appointment asap. Just to make sure everything is out and that you don't have to worry about infections or anything like that.

I've only had experience with d&c's. But now that I think back to it, I think I was offered something but the OB said it may not work so I just had the procedure.

Do you think my OB will do a fallow up she didn't to the abortion a clinic did. Or should i try to call the clinic again to get a follow up?

Yea there is a little higher chance of it not working and having to go threw a D&C anyways.
