is my first appt. where i will be checked for dialation and all that fun stuff. what should i expect?

The ususal plus a pelvic exam.

fun stuff   hehe.... The usual thing plus a pelvic exam, it might hurt you, it might not, it doesn't hurt me.

sounds fun. oo i had my group b thing wasnt expecting that. sending me in the bathroom with a qtip and then i read the instructions and was like WHAT. lol. it was funny. no warning. lol

Lol, the first twopregnancies my OB did it, then this pregnancy I did it myself...It was weird trying to rub the q-tip where it needed to go..

I have mine for the first time tomorrow too.   Im excited to see if there is any progress going on down there.

yea i wanna know i just always find it weird gettin naked at the doc. lol. the group b thing i was reading it step by step and i got the the anus part and i was like woah. lol

The doctor did my group b thing....wierdest feeling ever! I don't start getting checked until after my appointment tomorrow. But I think I'm going to request it, I feel like I may already be dialated and I wanna knooooow! Haha! Good luck tomorrow!

im very curious too. akward but curious. also im wondering since im underage would they let my bf in the room. i dont think he will be either way but im just curious.

I was never checked until I was induced.

so what do they do stick there fingers up there?

They might use a speculam (sp? the same thing they used at a pap) to open you up and then they will insert fingers/hand to check you.

I just figured maybe their fingers were short so the hand might be up there. To tell you the truth I think my doctor just looked in me at the last appointment. And the other times the nurses/doctors checked me was when I was in labor.
