Contractions help!!!

i think i'm having contractions its like really bad cramps that are like strong and 10-15 or so minutes apart is this contractions i'm 39 weeks.
would like you ladies input before i call my midwife?

Sounds like it. If they become 5 minutes apart, go in.

Sounds like it. But they wont do anything about it til they are 3-5 min apart. Go for a walk if you want to try to speed things up.

i started getting them once i got in the hot shower. i just got out going to have a walk

With my daughter I was almost 42 weeks, had a glass of wine and a hot bath and went into labor 3 hours later. It seems to happen when you relax and baby feels safe to come out.

walking helps, walk lots....
take a warm bath if they go away its probably not real labour.. i know i had these for days and I thought oh this was it. and they would stop. i ended up being a few days late....but walking really helps

im trying to relax but im feeling so tense when the pain strikes should i just wait till my water breaks or what? i have no idea what is going on.

my water never broke... call your ob when your contractions are 5 mins apart\most womens water never break
so thats not great to go by..obviously if it dose break ya go in

For many women, the water does not break, do not use that as an indicator as when to call. When the contractions are five minutes apart for more than an hour. Good luck!

You just have to wait until they get closer together. With them being that far apart, the labor could stop. Your water may not even break, just keep walking and try to relax.

ok thanks everyone i'm going to wait it out and time when they are 5 mins apart to call my midwife would be great if this was contractions i feel lots of movement and pressure

Call your midwife when they are exactly 10 mins appart especially since this is your first baby. Sometimes your water dont break until your in full on labor.

they told me my due date is actually the 2nd because i was only a 23 day cycle omg!
