Whats the difference in sizes?

Im trying to decide what soze clothes to order my daughter. What is the size difference between a 4T and an XS (4)? Are they pretty much the same thing? Usually my daughter wears a 5T but that option isnt available and i cant find a size chart on my phone for the website (childrens place) they also have a S (5/6)

DS wears a 4t- 5t, and he fits XS (size 4) very well. I've noticed they tend to be a little loose in the back and stomach (DS is VERY thin) but the length is about the same. If it's any longer I've never noticed, so it would be a minute difference.
Size S (5/6) is huge on him. It hangs down almost to his knees, so it's a massive size difference.
