IDK what to do....very confused.

My son is 5 months old.... his biological father has only seen him 3 times since he was born and he decided to move to Alaska. He and i split up in the beginning of my pregnancy and i started seeing someone new. Im now engaged to the other guy. He loves bay as much and probably more then the biological father. Recently the BIO. has started trying to tell me how to do things. Hes not on the birth certificate, doesnt help me out and I hardly ever hear from him but hes upset about me referring to my fiance as bays dad. He wants a DNA test so that hes on the birth certificate and so he can start a custody battle.... I NEED HELP!

If he wants to try and parent, why not.. I dont see what the big deal is.

Not to say I.don't want to take your side and say nooo don't do it but for the best intent with bay he deserves the right to know the bio for many reasons I could go on and on with this topic if he is not abusive or.incompetent there should b no reason why and not.only that but u don't want bay to regret u for lieing to him his whole life about his dad.

If he wants to be there for his child then let him, even if you refuse to do a DNA test, he can still fight and get one.

There is nothing you can do but i agree i would be pissed if karlees daddy walked out on her then decided out of jelousy of your new man to walk back in and confuse the poor child.

Well if he goes through the court you won't have to do much. Just make sure you have everything documented, that he's only seen him 3 times, he chose to move away from him, doesn't help with anything, that your fiance stepped up and became your child's father etc. If you're not comfortable with him taking him then ask for supervised visits.

The bio hasnt wanted anything to do with bay up until recently. Hes shown no interest. Has been more interested in partying and girls and weed then his son. I want him to be part of bays life but not all the way in alaska. Im not trying to keep him from seeing him im just unwilling to give him custody because he IS incompetent. Im not Lying to bay. I show him pics all the time of his BIO. es just being a jerk.

If he chose to move away I doubt they're going to make you send your 5 month old to be with him. It's not like you took the baby and moved away from him. Have you told him that you'll let him come visit for however many days to see him?

Ok first off I dont know why you are talking badly about your BD to your 5 month old son. And why you are showing him pictures when he wont remember anything.

Anything that is on him. But let him try. Some guys just take a little bit longer to come around.
