Quoting MommaNelle:“ So today I went for my monthly check-up (I'm 22 weeks 5 days) and got the results of my sonogram. Though ... [snip!] ... complications...a number of things. None of them good. Has this happened to any of you women and what was the outcome?”
Quoting MANDA♥ERIC:“ after my first fetal anatomy ultrasound they said they thought I might have low amniotic fluid. I went ... [snip!] ... the other tech was looking at, and that I had plenty of amniotic fluid. Dont stress. Keep yourself hydrated, you'll be fine!”Exactly what I'm doing! It's not helping either. It's only stressing me out more. I can't stop thinking about the bad. I've increased my water intake and I'm praying. That's all I can do. Hopefully when I go for another ultrasound, he'll be fine.
Quoting Brittb7:“ Wow, dejavu! i had the same thing and i was freaking out reading all the horrible things that could be ... [snip!] ... looked great! Please don't freak yourself out even though it seems impossible, just drink plenty of fluids and relax.”

Quoting ~*~Jackie~*~:“ My cousin had low aminotic fluid at 22-24 weeks like you and they just watched her and told her to stay ... [snip!] ... I was farther along the risk was greater to leave her in. Just drink plenty of water not caffeine drinks and listen to the doc.”

Has this happened to any of you women and what was the outcome?”At my 20 week appointment with my youngest my fluid was pretty low and I was diagnosed with oligohydramnios (low fluid). I had to go to a perinatologist once a month and in the last few months I had to go to the hospital every two weeks for an NST and u/s until I delivered. Sometime around 28 weeks my fluid went back up and I could stop going to the perinatologist. I went crazy and the stuff I found on the internet just mad matters worse. Dellana was born June 22, 2007 a perfectly healthy baby and is now a very healthy little girl. They never did figure out why it was low, it just was. Drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as you can...I'm sure your little one will be fine. This time it was a little low too at my 17 week u/s, but the next month was up to normal. If you need to talk I'm here.
Quoting Brittb7:“ Yeah, i know exactly how you feel. I went through a freak out where i didn't want to get attached to ... [snip!] ... it will look low. If you need to talk more, you can PM me and i'll be happy to talk. Just take care and keep us updated. ”

Quoting MommaNelle:“ You just gave me SO MUCH hope. I'm so glad to hear that your baby girl is healthy and I pray the same ... [snip!] ... me talk to you. I'm hoping if I do have oligohydamnios that my doctor keeps as good an eye on me as yours did. THANK YOU!”I hope everything goes fine (and I'm sure it will). I worked with this girl who, when she was pregnant with her son, had severe oligohydramnios. It was to the point that they told her her son was gonna die and there was nothing they could do. Well, she switched doctors and her new doctor put her on bedrest. Turns out her problem was just that she worked entirely too much. She gave birth to a very healthy baby boy who is now 3 or 4 I believe. Caffiene, soda intake, stress, working too much, smoking, etc can effect the fluid levels. I'll keep you and your baby in my prayers though.
