Off his meds

And has gone completely bonkers.
So honestly we didn't think that his meds WERE doing anything. But obviously they have been.
So about 9 months ago the doctor suggested we put Jacob on Intuniv. He has a high functioning autism, with ADHD, a behavioral disorder and a learning delay.
And we thought it was doing nothing.
Then he went off of it on Tuesday. His meds ran out here(we split them between his dad's house and here), and that was when he had his appt with the psych that upped his dosage.
I handed the new prescription to DH and told him to pick it up after work, and he came home and lost it. Seriously. With no meds, and no prescription we couldn't refill the old order because we would lose a month on his card. We are on a "coupon program" that only allows us 12 refills at $15, not the original $75 that we would have to pay after insurance(before is like $300). The doctors office notified us that his psych was out of the office and they would get him a prescription by another doctor since it's noted in his chart. But then on Thursday they closed early and Friday they were closed.
So he's had no meds for almost 5 days.
In that time he's been completely bonkers. Yesterday he broke a tent pole and then today he came in to wake me up and I seriously sat up and said, "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR ARMS?"
He COLORED HIMSELF! Which he has been doing. He colored himself sleeves, but it didn't stop there. He went with DH to get the car new tags, and then rode to grandma's in grandma's car. Which apparently there was a marker in the back seat. So when he walked into grandma's house where I was sitting he proudly showed me his mustache that he colored on himself and then showed off my nephew who he also gave a mustache, but apparently got interrupted because he gave my nephew a Hitler stache...he totally did that! And colored all up in my nephews hair, and they ALL have blonde hair! And to top it off he lifted his shirt and last night he didn't stop at his arms! He colored himself a shirt too! And I never saw it! How could I miss that?
I politely asked my MIL to PLEASE give him a bath before his parents got there. My SIL already doesn't like my son, because of his "special problems" and they're only allowed to be around each other(my son and my SIL's kids) at grandmas.
Anyways...he's also been torturing his sister to bits, and I made the decision, my ex has 5 pills, and he's going to give them to him, so I have till Tuesday to get the new pills ordered or else....
We never thought they made that much of a difference. Obviously they did. I just never knew it was THAT MUCH!
