Quoting HotMom21ERF:" he is speech delayed, he has SPD, his tantrums are outrageous, he's not really social with other children, has poor eye contact, doesnt have an interest in or play appropriately with toys"WOW!!You just described our Matty almost 100%. His speech delay they say is caused by his cleft lip/palate. He has terrible tantrums where he bangs his head off the floor/walls. Throws his toys to the point where they break. This boy broke a Tonka truck!!!

Quoting FredMattyKristin&Kora's M:" I asked him, seeing as we have an autistic nephew, he said they're just tantrums no need to worry. "well, you dont need his permission to take your son to the pedi. if it did turn out to be autism, just think of all the wasted time he could have been in therapy and making huge improvements to be able to lead his life to the best of his abilities.
Quoting I Love Dem Baybees!:" Good luck lady! I hope you get answers at the appointment. Our oldest daughter is 3 and was found to ... [snip!] ... daughter might have in common..I don't know if she could have autism AND the micro deletion causing her to be the way she is."

[snip!] ... time he could have been in therapy and making huge improvements to be able to lead his life to the best of his abilities."It was the pedi that said they were just tantrums and there was no need to worry. And just don't let him hurt him self or others.
Quoting HotMom21ERF:" oh wow i have never heard of micro deletion but i will bring it up at the appointment."Well i'm not saying I think your son might have it as well but you never know..it was something they found through blood work and testing through the genetics lab an hour away. It caused her to be delayed with reaching milestones she didn't do anything on time really and needed a lot of therapy to crawl and then braces on her feet to walk and she's still behind, always will be. Do you mind describing how your son acts on a regular basis? I'm just wondering if my daughter might have autism as well, a form that isn't as strong that is.
