3 Day Periods? Sorry it's long ( a little TMI)

Hey ladies, I am just curious to see if anyone has had his happen to them or know of anyone or if it could just be normal sometimes? I know that you can't tell me what's wrong I just need to see if I'm crazy. lol  

So in January my period came 2 weeks early (it was the first time it was ever that early for me), after making sure there was nothing wrong and finding out it just "happens" I just went along...my periods have a been a little weird ever since.
In May my period was 4 days late and was a normal 5 day period when it did show up....in June my period only lasted 3 days....2 weeks after my period I start getting sick. I was running a low grade temp and getting dizzy, super nauseated, cramps in my waistline, moody and just felt weird. I went to the doctor, my urine was clean and pregnancy test was negative, I ran the low grade for 2 weeks and was nauseated and had super tender breasst until my period started. When my period did start it was only 1 day late and only lasted 3 days again. It was medium to heavy for the first day and a half then got light, then had a lot of discharge. (Sorry Gross)
Now I'm feeling better but just wondering if anything like this has happened to you ladies and found out you were pregnant and had bleeding that seemed like a period (since you can not have a period while pregnant). Or if you know of anyone or could maybe relate a little bit. The doctor's don't seem too worried about it though, since it was only a low grade fever.

A little backstory : About 4 years ago I took a depo shot (only had 1) it was for cysts, and I had my period for 9 months straight, I would get like a day off or a week off when it was ending. But before the shot my period only lasted 3-4 days...so I'm wondering if I might finally be getting back to those types of cycles?Maybe I was just sick and couldn't find anything wrong, it just all seemed werid, it could have just been a virus. I just want to see if anyone relates and think it could have been anything. DH and I aren't trying for a baby but only using condoms, so if it happens it happens.

When you bleed, what color is it? Brown? Red? Do you ever spot before AF? I have short periods. Last month it only lasted 3-4 days. Some months AF is early, some month it's on time. My issues are due to a progesterone deficiency.

It's red usually, when it ends it usually turns brown. That's about it. I don't believe I have ever spotted before AF. Thanks for the response  

I just started running a fever again last night it was just a low grade around 99.5, I was nauseated, could this be symptoms of ovulation?
