OP.... PM me if you need to chat. Im as pro adoption as they come. Half my damn family is adopted, my SO put a child up for adoption. I do know someone that was put up for adoption within his family at an older age.

i got suspended for the DUMBEST reason as well. every study hall i go to the library. youre supposed to sign in and what not but i never did because the librarian and i would go off and look and books together. well the day i got suspended i went to the library and never signed in but unfortunatly the librarian was out that day.... so apparently i skipped class

I had my best friend piss me off. I was a severely angry kid and she was screaming in my ear, taunting me. I turned around slowly and said "Stop, or I'm going to punch you." She wouldnt stop. I said "Stop, or Im really going to kick your ass." She said "I dare you, you wouldnt do it." Screamed in my ear again, so I hauled off and decked her ass. I had a 4 day in school suspension. I told my parents and they HATED her, and so my Dad said "Well... did you get in a good punch? Did you win?" "She didnt hit me at all, I grabbed her hair, got her to the ground and kept punching her." My parents laughed and said "Good job.... don't do it again!" I was never grounded.

The suspension was fun... they only checked on us to give us work packets, lunch, and that was it. We were there the entire day in an empty room at the back of the school. We played the entire day, friends within 10 minutes of the first day of suspension, lol!

I gave my children up at 3and a half and 1... It was the hardest choice ever.

How did you come to that decision? Finances? Just not in a good place? I'm so sorry you went through that.  

Not sure if times have changed things.. But I was adopted when I was 13. I do not think there is an age limit.

As in my mother relinquished custody and signed her rights over to my "dad", who is not my biological father, and his wife, who were my caretakers. I don't know how the whole process worked because I was uninvolved in it.

If you're going to do it, please just do it before your kid is 3 and their long-term memory starts developing. After that it's just damaging.
