Ovulation

So my question is I'm assuming while on the pill you don't ovulate. And ladies have said other wise. . . BUT my question is does ovulation go by your period. Or will it be thrown off by the pill. I calculated my ovulation. I haven't had a normal period since I started I just spot lightly for like a day or two. So are my ovulation days correct or wrong due to my pill.? I missed 5 pills in a row it was a new pack I was suppose to start&didn't. And now here I am.

Women aren't supposed to ovulate while on BC. Bleeding is generally the uterine lining shedding, no egg is to be released. In the rare or not so rare case that a women does ovulate while on BC, it would be at an unknown time, since you aren't supposed to be ovulating while on BC, and most likely wouldn't be. for the best advice call your doctor and ask them what to do, since you've already missed so many pills.

I called they said I have to just wait and to not take my pills til I get my period. . . .I had the sex last Thursday Friday and Saturday. . . . So its been a week. If I tested now would it tell me?

oh.. test 2 weeks after having unprotected sex for more accurate results. GL!
