Im ready to wean... it hurts everytime she latches on now, really bad. im assuming it hurts now bc they are tender due to me being pregnant. anywho. she only nurses at bedtime, naptime, and morning if she wants to go back to sleep. ive tried to give her a cup but nothing works and im not one for just letting her cry   so what can i do? helppppp!

I used soft top zippy cups and as my son was nursing I would break his latch with my figure slip the cup in and my nipple out

honestly i cut my daughter off at 13 months pretty much cold turkey. i did only night feedings for a couple more nights then replaced that with a soothing bath and then a lullaby and lots of rocking. and honestly some nights i had to let her CIO but it worked out fine only took us like 1-6 days for her to get it and it was done

My son pretty much completely weaned himself by 14 months. He is going to be 18 months on the 3rd and in the past 4 months he has tried to nurse a total of a dozen times maybe and I don't tell him no, I just let him and it lasts all of 5 seconds and he is done.

What do you give her in the cup? I started DS with sippy cups when he was 6 months and he took to it no problem. I started with water then did juice/water. At11 months I started doing cow milk and it took a little bit of offering to get him to take that. Try different sippy cups too. The first cup I got for my son he didn't want to take it(soft spout). I got a cup with a hard spout and he took that one. He only started taking the soft spout one after he weaned.
