parenting question

So straight to the point my SOs grandmother has been mad cause last week we planned out with her that saturday she would could see our daughter but the day before while SO was trying to leave for work n me and LO where sleeping she tried just coming in unwelcomed. It was in my views very rude but finly she called cause today is SOs birthday n she had asked what he wanted for his birthday... well while talking she said something about taking LO to see her sister this weekend and i told her as long as its after SOs off work n we are not busy then we are all for it but the way she kept saying things... its like we are not welcome to go and she just wants to take my 3week old daughter... am i wrong to say that at this point i dont want her to without at least SO or myself going with??

uh, no, you are not wrong. 3 weeks old? hell, no.

I don't let people take my daughter, and she is 3 years old.

3 weeks old? Hell no...I'd be the same way. And my family would not try to step on my toes like that either...that sucks. No I would politely tell her that LO is YOUR child and you don't want her going without either one of you guys plain and simple. Your the mama, don't question your decisions because you know whats best.

Ummm you are perfectly justified. WTF. 3 weeks old. My MIL was like that, expecting to take my daughter for overnights at a month when I was breastfeeding. Hell no. She rarely sleeps over her house NOW and she's almost four lol.

And I think its super rude for people to show up without calling first/giving a few hours notice... Or ASKING. Nothing more irritating to me than when family shows up and my house is a disaster and I'm still in my nightgown and unshowered. Like damn. have some consideration.

Well my MIL just went out n bought a crib cause she thinks shes gonna be staying the night soon but SOs grandma calls maybe 10 minutes before while she is already driving over n doesnt ask just tells us "im coming over" its rude in my view but we dont have a car n my mom was sleeping so SO was trying not to be rude n asked his grandmother for a ride to work that morning. But she just tried coming into my bedroom while im sleeping. She has done it before cause she said she would be quite but SO told her hold on, i sleep in a big tee n my panties, but she ran in n starts tapping on me n trying to make me talk n stuff so while i hold my tounge on alot i dont thing i should have to about my child n if we as her parents are unwelcome then she doesnt need to be going...

I think you're being pretty cool about it, I would have SO talk with his grandmother because that's his family so it's more of his place. And as for you guys not being allowed to go, I totally agree. If you guys aren't welcome then LO doesn't need to be going.
