When labor comes you will have less work to do. Sit back and relax, it will happen when the LO and your body are ready. Even at 6 cm you will have enough time to make it to the hospital.

I was the same as you for a month. I ended up being induced at 39 weeks and had a two hour labor. Hang in there! Nothing worked for me.

you are lucky - you are well dilated and it will happen when it happens. I know a woman who was 8cm for over a week and the doctor didn't induce for the same reasons. you know what, baby didn't fall out, but she had a relatively short labor and a great experience. Who care how far dilated you are at this point, you will know when it's really time.
