Opinons ?

So,me & my mom don't have a very good relationship.(if you have read my previous posts,you already know this)
Well,we recently had a pretty severe altercation where some pretty harsh words were exchanged.I just can't deal with her anymore.She had the nerve to say something to me about spending time with my boyfriend (going on dates,him staying over)
I recently met my BF's dad,& his stepmom,& they invited me to Myrtle Beach this December for "Night of a Thousand Lights" & when I mentioned something to her about it,she went OFF.She made the comment "Well I wouldn't go anywhere that my son couldn't go" I was like "Really ?"
I told her that I wanted to get to know his family first,before I take my son around them,& that I haven't been to the beach since I was 10,it'd be nice to go & just enjoy myself,since I haven't been on a vacation since i was very little.(I'm 20 now,btw)
And then she proceeded to tell me that I care more about my boyfriend than I do my son,& that my boyfriend doesn't want anything to do with him & stuff like that.
She has no right to say that to me,or about him.She left me at my dad's when I was 11 & ran off with another man 2 hours away.She never invited me on their vacations,& she never asked if I wanted to meet him,or anything.So I just think it's a little hypocritical.
My boyfriend treats me & my son wayy better than her new husband treats her or me.So,maybe she's jealous ? I don't know.I've never understood her.She acts like a child.I think it's funny that whenever we argue about something,& she knows I'm right,she calls me a smartass.lol.
But anyways.I was wondering what you ladies thought of me going on vacation with his family,& leaving my son behind ? Do you agree with her at all,or is she overreacting ?

It kind of depends. I mean SO and I are planning a baby free vacation but we will only be gone a few days. I think everyone deserves some time off from their LOs but if you do go I would prepare for a lot of bitching from your mom

Yeah but I deal with that one a daily basis anyways,that's why I'm moving out ASAP.Luckily,my stepdad is going to pick up my car this weekend like he's been saying for months he would.I would get my dad to watch him while I'm gone though.He actually respects me as a parent,so I'm thankful for that.

Who will be keeping your child during this.vacation?

I'm unsure... Part of me thinks it's wrong that you are away from your son often but another part of me understands where you're coming from...

I am not away from him at all.Our last date was in June because she never watches him.She always talks about how much fun they have when they're together,yet she never wants us to go out.Even if I arrange for another sitter,she still bitches at me for spending time with my boyfriend.And we have taken my son out with us numerous times,he just doesn't behave well in public because he doesn't listen to me,because my mom spoils him rotten & he expects the same thing from me.
I think she's being crazy.
