Oh I was kidding   My son didn't really eat any fast food until he was over a year old. But it's not a big deal if kids do. Unless you're a super mom who looks down on all us mom's who are terrible, and apparently slutty.

If I have anymore children they'll have a different father than my son. There's no chance in hell that my son will ever have a full blood sibling. Some people are just extremely judgemental.

Yup they are...my oldest has 3 other half siblings and it makes her sad that they dont live with us..her dad is pretty much absent from her life and his other 2 daughters (younger then my dd ) with his now ex wife were put into foster care. And her 6m old half brother is the only child he cares for now...till they split then he will not see them like all the others.

But she still has her other sisters (still half sisters) but she does not refer to them as half sisters cause we live together lol

If the were baked I don't see a problem with it. But deep fried? The grease and salts from fast food places might be a little too much for a babes that young though.

It never hurt my kids. Of course, it didn't make up the majority of their diet. lol. but it never hurt them to eat fast food. Maybe if a kid had a particularly sensitive stomach that couldn't handle grease??? I don't know..

My brother in law has a "tradition" of buying all of the kids in the family their first chicken mcnugget happy meal at 6 months old.. I think that's a silly tradition, and my child certainly wasn't ready for that at 6 months old (but all kids develop differently).. but it never came up because his earliest opportunity to do it was when she was 9 months old, and by then, she could handle it.. lol..

Anyway, my point was that apparently, he's been giving chicken mcnuggets and fries to six month + olds for quite some time, and none of them are unhealthy or overweight or have any other problems like that.

I mean.. you can look right at a kid, even do a complete physical and even cognitive tests if you're up for it, lol, and you'd never know that they just ate a pile of french fries.. unless their face is covered in ketchup.. the damn ketchup gives em away every time.

Ya 6m is a little young...I had a really bad virus when my oldest was about 6m old....i used my friends step sister to sit for me, I couldnt even get out of bed. DD was 6m old. And she took her too A&W I freaked out on her for feeding her a burger and a milkshake nat 6m...but when she was 9-10 months old she ate from those places when I did lol. She could have even been a little older but whatever.
In no way did eating greasy foods interfer in my kids tummies or with their weight or anything. God my 4 yr old is onl;y 28lbs lol and her dad brings her to eat happy meals a couple times a week lol.

Yeah, I was kind of worried about seeing my brother-in-law when she was six months old after hearing about the "tradition" .. lol.. because I didn't think she was ready for that.. but then I figured that if he insisted, it wouldn't really hurt anything if she attempted to gum a nugget to death, lol, as long as I was right there to supervise and prevent choking or something.. Its not like she would have been chowing down on nuggets and fries at that point.. lol.. she would probably have just gummed on one for awhile.   Fortunately, it didn't come up until she was 9 months old, and by then, she was fine with it.

I could so see my toothless 6m old gumming a nugget lol (although I wouldnt yet) lol
She stole a piece of cheese string from my 4 yr old the other day lol..she was in her excersaucer and my other dd was standing beside her watching tv and she reached out and grabbed it and started gumming it..she actually ate it and was looking for more lol Ah well she is still alive lol My 4 yr old was super dramatic crying that the baby ate the laste piece of cheese string lol

It's more the salt, I was told that too much salty or high sodium foods can wreak havoc on the kidneys (at any age but more so when still developing). The grease would just cause an upset tummy if they weren't used to it. Even with toddlers the recommended amount of sodium is like 2g a day... and if you look at a pack of hot dogs, one dog can have like 480g of sodium in it. I just feel bad when I can't get my children to eat more healthy raw foods... processed foods are the cause of soooo many diseases and disorders that it should be just common sense to avoid them. However, that can be terribly difficult when you have picky eaters so I do the best I can. And don't get me started on sugar! lol It's really not about the immediate outcomes of eating those types of foods, its about what you put in your body and how it will affect you as an aging adult.

I see where you're coming from, but I just never think like that. I use my "intuition," my experiences, and what I know about nutrition (and I'm certainly no expert on that), and I do what I think is best, and so far, my kids are alright.. As far as an aging adult.. I really think that as long as you aren't overloading your kids with junk all the time and as long as you do teach them healthy habits and moderation, they will end up becoming better at aging than most Americans. lol. And if they're not.. well, hell, its America.. what did you expect? lol. (jk).

*just realized you aren't in the US.. eh. my point stands.

But really, I think its important to teach healthy habits and moderation and hope that kids take those habits with them into adulthood.. I don't think that the fries I occasionally give my toddler will affect her when she's 20, 30, 40, 80, .. etc.. I could be wrong.. but hell, if she makes it to 80, she's going to be old anyway.. lol.
