How old is she? Sounds normal. Most kids go through phases where they don't eat much at all and if it's just one night I wouldn't worry.

All of that sounds so yummy and healthy!

Maybe some fresh cut fries? If not, leave her and let her eat when she's ready?

I'd leave a plate at a level she can reach and leave it at that. She will eat when she's hungry enough.

Just take her down and try again later. Most kids will go through food strikes. It will pass eventually. She could just be trying to get a reaction out of you or thinks its fun to throw things or have you pick them up. When she throws it tell her we don't throw things and take her down. Pick it up once she is out of sight and try again later

My son is like that some days he'll be starving then other days he'll throw his food and not want to eat anything at all. I usually just put him in his chair give him something to eat then ignore him and he sometimes starts eating, because if i pay attention to him he'll throw his food/sippy.

I was just about to ask if she had sensory issues! My son sees his OT 4 times a week and is just now making a break through and hes been in it for 3 1/2 years.

Dont take what shes does to heart. And remember a child with sensory issues are not the same as other kids. You cant just keep pushing and pushing to make them eat things. They either have a fear of it or their poor little sensory system cant take it. My son has SPD and we're doing everything to work though it.

I don't blame her, I wouldn't eat that nasty smurf either.

J/k. She's probably not hungry. When my kids start throwing food, feeding time is over. Period. After a few times of enforcing "throw food, meal time's over" they get it.

To be honest ECI sucked. They flaked on us so much it sucked. They only did twice a month as well. After he turned 3 he couldnt work with them anymore and I finally found out that you could use private therapy. We work with a private company that is payed 100% by my sons CHIPS. Does she have ins?

Quoting reachingout:" What?! No I've never heard of that! Tell me all about this! I was just wondering how I could go about getting her into private therapy."

Yep I never knew either. All you do is call around to therapy companys around you. If you're having trouble ask someone at ECI *if you think they will be upset you dont want to use them say its for a friend that doesnt quallify for ECI*. And she comes to our house, I dont take him to any center or anything!
