whooping cough....

OK...so one of the guys I work with had a baby last week and one of their guests a the hospital got a call from the Center for Disease Prevention and Control the next saying she had whooping cough...so his whole family is on antibiotics (even the 8 day old baby). I know it is highly contagious (sp) so I have no idea what that means to me since I am pregnant (the doctor still hasnt called me back....its has been like 4 hrs). I am not really worried just looking for some insight...
