Washing Babies Clothes

posted 14th May
Can you use fabric softener when drying the babies clothes? Is so, what kind? I am going to use Dreft laundry detergent and then wasn't sure what to use for fabric softener.

I have heard that if your baby has really sensitive skin, fabric softener and dryer sheets can bother their skin more so not to use either. I even heard that if they have allergies or really sensitive skin that they can be bothered by the dryer sheet fragrance from your clothes. I dont know if that is very common though. But once your baby is born, you'll know how they react to it. My sister's babies both had realllllly sensitive skin, so I didnt use anything other than the dreft when washing, but probably will after I can see if they have really sensitive skin or not.

Good to know, we don't have one close to us, but my sister in Seattle does, I'll have to have her send me some, cause I can't find them anywhere around here.

I use all free & clear. It's cheaper and has no scent at all. I love that stuff!
And using a fabric softener is really trial and error. I use Downy Simple Pleasures (the blue is awesome) and it doesn't hurt my son. But that's trial and error, like I said. Dryer sheets are the same way =)
