Normal?

My son has always been a needy baby; from colic to just plain wanting all the attention, not able to self soothe / entertain very well.
He recently started SCREAMING if I put him down, he'll just cry unless he's being held. Which is fine but i have a 2.5 yr old to take care of and a million things to do. He also cries the WHOLE car ride..
I try wearing him but it gets difficult with him getting bigger.
He's 6 months btw.


He still isn't sleeping thru the night, not a big deal but my mom's convinced it's because I don't feed him solids  
I remember my first son going thru the whole you leave the room they cry phase, but not till like 8 or 9 months. & he didn't cry when I set him down, only when I walked away.
Ehan cries the second i put him down, even if i'm laying in front of him playing with him.

Have you tried a different carrier? What carrier do you have now?

Sometimes, from what I hear, the woven wraps aren't very good once babies get heavier. What about a mei tei? those are like a moby, but different

Not trying to be on your moms side but I had the same problem with my youngest son. He would fuss all the time and would wake up every 3 hours up until he was 1!
I had to increase his solid intake to fill him up before bed and it worked!

My son was always like that. It was just another stage of him being super needy. I'm hoping and hoping that this child isn't as high needs as DS.

Well he just isn't very interested in solids, so I just don't push them. I'm okay with him waking up, usually i just pop a paci in his mouth and he's back asleep again. So i don't think it's because he's hungry.

The one thing is how the second I set him down he screams, and cries.
It's become really bad recently, he used to be able to play on the floor and roll around for AT LEASE 45 minutes before freaking out / getting bored. Like he'd play alone.
I recently moved back to my moms, do you think that has something to do with it? I also read their extra clingy right before a big milestone, he's SO CLOSE to crawling so maybe thats it?

Those could possibly be it, babies seem to have sleep regressions when they're close to milestones or have just mastered them. and moving to a new place can definitely be unsettling for him

my LO is the exact same and hes only 13 weeks.
