does tanning get rid of them/make them better or make them worse?

It would depend on what kind of tan you use.

Spray tan makes mine worse.
Regular tanning has helped mine fade quite nicely. But I started tanning at about a year pp, so they were pretty faded already. My stomach looks almost smooth again.

Tanning bed, Tanning in the sun, and fake tan all made mine worse..

Try rubbing Vitamin E oil on them a few times daily.
I hate the feel of oil on me but its helping them [:

Self tanner helps mine. I use an anti cellulite cream on my stomach and it also helps minimize the appearance!
