baby measuring big

I just had an ultrasound today. My regular monthly growth scan. DH was able to come today. It is the first one he has come to with this pregnancy because of his work schedule. The baby looks fine. But he is measuring at 36 weeks and is 5lbs 12 oz. I know the ultrasound can be off, but even if it is, he is still alot bigger than he should be. I will probably have a 10lb baby! Its starting to hit me more now. I have 8 weeks left until my due date and 7 weeks to my csection (which will now probably be 09/14 or 09/17). But the mfm doctor thinks I will have him sooner. If I go into labor after 36 weeks they will not stop it. Part of me hopes that will happen because I do not want a giant baby, but I dont want him to have any problems. I go to my ob next week and I will most likely get a definitive csection date., Anyone else have a big baby? Or have had one? Did you have any complications? My other 2 were 8/3 and 8/4.

i think baby will be a normal size or your due date might be off

My LO was born at 37w2d and weighed 6lb 1oz...

Your bub sounds like he is measuring fine?

I didn't have any complacations, & my babies were 9/8, 8/9, and my premier was 3/11.. they are telling me this baby is gonna be big to! I gave birth the old fashion way to

He is measuring ay 36 weeks. His belly, head, upper arm and thigh bones are all measuring 36 weeks, and they took a few different measurements of each to make sure they weren't wrong. Like I said, I know the ultrasound can be off, but even if it is, he is still huge!

I am only 29 weeks and my baby is measuring 32 weeks and is estimated at just under 4 lbs! My first was 8 lbs 7 oz at birth. I was induced with him at just over 40 weeks because they said he'd be over 9 lbs and they didn't want me to wait. They were pretty off on the weight then. I am trying not to do induction this time, but my OB seems to think I'll go early.

I'm a little worried about him being really big too, or that they'll want to induce because of his size. I really hope that I go into labor naturally! Good luck to you!

At my 31 week ultrasound, my daughter was measuring 6lbs. At my 36 week ultrasound, she was measuring 8lbs. She was born at 39 weeks (I was induced) and she was 11 and a half lbs at birth and 22.5in long.

i just had a ultrasound the other day im 36 weeks too and they said my baby is measuring 6 lbs already and i am freaking out im scared he is going to be so big my first 2 babys were only 5 lbs 14oz and the other 6 lbs and 12oz i think this one is going to be huge i really dont want to have a c section
