how much does your 5-7 year old EAT

my kids are eating me out of house and home. i have 2 girls 5, and gonna be 7 on monday. theyre both very tiny, 36lbs and 42lbs soaking wet.

today, they ate

cereal (mini wheats for ydd, vanilla cheerios for odd) both with 1% milk that they drank
1 carton of greek yogurt with honey each

snack was 1 full carton of strawberries, 1.5 bananas, and a small can of mandarin oranges mixed together and split between the 2 of them

a popsicle

lunch was a tuna and cheese sandwhich on toast with baked chips and 2 fruit ropes each, a cup of milk, and a minute maid waterfalls water pouch

for ANOTHER snack they had grapes and pretzels dipped in plain yogurt

another popsicle each

then YDD stole 2 tbs of natural peanutbutter before i could catch her.

we just had dinner and they both ate a BBQ chicken drumstick, baked beans, and brown rice with carrots, peas and cheddar cheese. oh and a cup of milk


and im sure they will have at least one more snack before bedtime.

ISNT THAT A TON OF FOOD?? my lord. no wonder why my grocery bill is so expensive

With my 5 yr old son it's hit or miss. Some days he doesn't stop eating ...other days ...like nothing. I give him something like Pediasure sometimes for vitamins and all...he's almost 6 but he's 48 inches tall and maybe 44 lbs. Doc says he's tall and thin but fine.

mine havnt stopped eating all summer.. lol my girls are both on the shorter side. 15% in height and 10% in weight each, theyre just like their dad
