Celexa

So the Zoloft didn't do smurf for me and I was switched to 20mg Celexa today. Anybody with experience, did it do the job? I'm so desperate to start feeling better. I finally got put back on my Xanax as well.

no i hated it. also hated effexor.

cymbalta & buspar were great for me. eventually off the cymbalta and just on the buspar.

it made me really tired, and i just felt down in the dumps on it, i actually tried to OD when i was on it.

I've been on it a few days short of a month and I feel awesome.
At first I got pretty bad migraines but I haven't had any lately. And I felt better after taking it for a week. I think I'm on 20mg...Not sure. I'll check though.
It's the first antidepressant I've ever been on...Dunno if that makes any difference.

wow. okay, thanks for the info. i'll definitely watch myself on it then. my depression is severe so i hope it doesn't set me off wrong like that. the nurse practitioner i saw is a family friend and she said it works amazing for her. she's been on it for over a year now.

they're all different for everyone.

the way she explained it to me, i don't remember what neurons or w/e it affects, but she said it only alters one side, whereas cymbalta plays with both sides? but i don't remember exactly what it changes.

I've heard really good things about it!

Really good actually.
It works, and affects everyone differently and at different rates.

Did you just not feel any different with zoloft?
Cuz I'm on it right now and I seriously feel like it's not doing anything (besides making me constipated  ) for me at all. I just don't feel any different. I took cymbalta before but it just gave me tension headaches

how long have you been on zoloft? i was on it about 8 weeks, and around week 6 i felt a little better, but it wasn't enough to satisfy me and make me feel myself again. i have heard a lot of positive feedback from it though, it just wasn't for me.

ive been on celexa off and on for the last 7 years. It's the only thing that has worked with the least side effects, but it didnt help until i was around 30-40mg. Zoloft was awful, prozac was even worse. It varies person to person, but its a pain in the butt to find one that works =-/

im on celexa and so far its worked for me. i take one every night before bed and ive noticed lately im ALOT more relaxed during the day.

I've been on it for 5 weeks now so maybe I need to wait a little longer
