Stretch marks AHHH!!!

posted 26th Jul '12
I've been going pretty strong this pregnancy and have made it with no stretch marks until about week 37, I just now started breaking out in them. I'm hoping to go into labour soon so they don't get worse. Even though you get them on your stomach, if they aren't terrible do they take long to fade even with weight loss and exercise. I just now started using Mederma for stretch marks but it has mixed reviews. A friend also suggested Bio Oil and said the redness would fade a few months after delivery, I hope that is the case because I don't want my stomach to be untonable.. Any advice ladies? Creams or anything? I use coco butter every time I get out of the shower, I even blow dry it to make it easy to lather on but I know it doesn't fully prevent them, kind of discouraging but oh well.

These are the worst ones I have minus my breasts.

So, wait, women who have stretchmarks are deformed? Maybe you should choose your words more wisely next time.

Just so you know, you can get stretch marks after giving birth also.
Which will probably happen... nothing will make them "go away" you have them for life. They will fade as in they won't be red...but they will still be there, visable, especially in pictures if there is flash.

thats just my opinion i guess..and yes thats my belly and im proud of it.
40 weeks is full term and thats the best time to give birth, not before.

Stretch marks are beautiful, shows how hard your body worked to make a healthy baby! And you will likely get them afterward and therea probably ones to you cant even see over ur tummy. And dont hope for.something as stupid as wanting to go into labor that baby needs to cook 40+ weeks! Its not about you anymore its.about baby. And no lotions or creams work..time and laser removal work

Good luck!!!

FYI most women don't get stretchmarks until after birth. So, good luck   Majority of women have them! Even women who have never had children. Learn to accept them now because they will never fully disappear. They will fade though, most likely.
