How much in State of Texas?

Did you have to pay for a divorce if you had a lawyer?
My case, I want an uncontested divorce. We have nothing to fight over.
The main thing I do want is sole custody. He is not trying to be involved at all with children and if he changes his mind in years to come we can do supervised until the children get to know him. Then we can change custody order.
I am not trying to keep kids away from him I just don't want him to be able to take them whenever he feels like it and he is a stranger to them.
Any advise or experience would be extremely helpful?

I dont know anything about Texas or divorce. But I just wanted to tell you to document every little thing when you communicate with BD. without documentation (texts, emails, pics, voicemails, etc.) you probably wont get supervised visits.

Ya we only contact by email or lack of. I don't hear from him at all. I sent him pics of my daughter via email and no reply as well.
If he doesn't show up to court will that help me?
He left TX while on probation due to family violence and his p.o already told him there would have an arrest warrant for him if he didnt report. He never did report.

If he doesn't show up the first time, the judge will probably just make a new court date. But if he doesn't show up again, it'll probably help you. Judges don't like that nonsense and sometimes they'll just grant the parent that's there whatever they want.
