I never peeled them. I just cut off the ends of them. I wouldn't bother trying to peel them.

Just as the other said, you don't ever peel asparagus. Just snap off the bottom.

thanks everyone. i just wasnt sure since we always peel the big, thick ones (though i have never seen those in the states) and when i googled it said to peel them. it just seemed silly to me since they are sooo skinny already.
well, that certainly saves A LOT of work for me!   lol

More for those who didn't know or say you don't - but exactly, and you waste some product just by chopping that part off.

I only peel the white asparagus (thicker) and then wrap them in prosciutto.
