I can finally tell im getting in shape!

posted 26th Jul '12
Ive been doing my Zumba on Kinect everyday for the past 3 weeks. When I first started I could barely go 10-15 minutes without wanting to pass out. last night i realized I did a full 45 minute class and was only winded and sweaty! My body and muscles are sooo sore, but I like it because it means Im doing something   I still have 40 lbs to lose but now I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I want to start running. Ive heard so many people say its therapeutic, but thats gonna have to wait until the temperature cools down, or my next update will be titled "Idiot passes out trying to run in 115 degree heat"!

I ran after I had Bailey. I loaded her up in the jogging stroller and went for an hour, 3 times a day. I loved it. I miss it and plan on picking it up again after I have baby number 2.

Here's a pretty cool article I had read in Today's Parent (Canadian edition). This may help get you motivated when the weather cools. Looks pretty easy...I'm going to try it after I have my LO (obviously not right away....I'm not THAT ambitious). Enjoy!

Zumba sounds like so much fun! Yey for getting back in shape! the trick is to be consistent because cardio fitness can decrease after even a week of inactivity. You can do it mama!

seems like it. Looks like a good way to start at least, could probably tailor it to your needs and energy level. But it's a good starting point. Good luck with it, would love to know how it's working for you as you go along. I can't wait to get more regular excersize after LO is born.
