Could my due date be wrong?

How likely is it that my due date was wrong and im not actually 4days overdue?
When i first found out they said my die date would be 12th July based on my last period - then at the first ultrasound they changed it snd said it would be 22nd of July! I am measuring 2 weeks smaller than how far gone I am so does it sound like i just do have a lazy baby that doesnt want to come or does it sound like they may have my due date wrong?
Im just curious because i have the stretch and sweep on Sunday and being induced next week and i dont want them to be trying to get my baby out if my baby is like only 38 weeks and not ready himself!

a due date is an estimate. it could be 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after

There is no way to really know unless you knew the exact day you conceived .

I'm also measuring 2weeks behind. Sometimes baby needs a little help coming. I've been in slow labour since Monday - its not nice. I've to book my induction date tomorrow as per instruction. Here's hoping he's OUT before then as I'll be exhausted by next week at the rate I'm going.  

You don't have to be induced if you don't want to.

Even if they got the due date wrong, i'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Many babys are born early and perfectly healthy. Try not to stress about it. =]

When was your first u/s?

I'm about 80% sure my DD was wrong. First they told me LO's due date was July 27th, then August 18th, and then August 7th. I was induced on the 8th and had him on the 9th. But, I was in labor for 36 hours and I think he wasn't ready to come out and that's what took so long.

due dates are just estimates they can never be exact unless you knew the exact day you had sex. As for induction they normally wait till you are 2 weeks late from your due date because they are just a guestimate of when the baby will come. The down side is if you wait too long the placenta giving your baby what it needs only works for about 42 weeks then stats to deteriorate. So if you think you are only 38 weeks then wait if its no big deal as long as the baby is over 32 weeks the baby will be ok. by that time they are full developed. Like the other lady said some babies just need help getting out of bed. I hope this was helpful and good luck with your choice.
