Boil on face... Please HELP

So it's official I have a boil on my face. Right on my chin it's the size of a small bouncy ball and it hurts so bad I've been crying  ! I'm tempted to go to the ER because I am in so much pain and the skin right under my jaw (yes that sensative area) is SO tender to the touch!! I don't want to sit there forever but this thing is so painful!! Has anyone ever had experiance with this? I have been holding a hot wash rag to it even couple of minutes to try and open it up so it can drain but it's not helping and my face feels swollen and the sensative area not sure if it has a name... is swollen as well! Damn I wish this would go away!!  

If it's really a boil it will go away in a few days. But it could be a spider bite or something if it hurts that much.

The very thought of being in this pain for a couple of days in making me tear up... Call me a pansy but this hurts like hell!

have you seen a doctor yet?? i would.. why are you getting random boils??

LOL, well how are you going to get through labor then  . If it hurts really bad and is red and inflamed I'd try to call and get an appointment with a doctor b/c it might not be just a boil.

This might not be comforting but im gonna tell ya anyway---I had one on my arm like 4 years ago and they are pretty painful so after about 2 days of just trying to make it go away with a warm wash cloth and it didn't go away I went to the doctors and they had to make a little cut(with no numbing medicine because a boil is basically a ball of infection and would take alot to numb is what they told me).all the stuff came out which was soooooo gross and i still have a scar from the cut.
So with that being said....i'd try and stick it out.Maybe run the shower and sit in there with the steam.

I've had boils in the past but never one the size of yours. Normally if it were a smaller one, a hot compress would do the trick but with you having such a large one it would be best for you to go to the ER and have a doctor lance it and clean it out. If you let this go the infection will only get deeper and they are known to leave a hole.

Yes I would go to the Dr. I have had them in the past and my last one was after I gave birth to my daughter and it was on my panty line. It burst on its own which was gross in it self. I went to the docotr and they lanced it and I had to stuff it with gauze everyday until it healed. And I have 2 horrible scars. SO yes go see the doctor to try and prevent ugly scars which wil be on your face.

First of all it's 1 boil and second I went on Saturday to get mother's day pictures taken at a place similar to "glamour shots" where they do hair and make-up... well I don't cake my face with make-up and so I believe the make-up either 1. Clogged my pore or 2. Started the infection No I haven't seen a doc because here we have a stupid Army hospital and they don't take walk -ins and I don't have time to make an app because my jaw area is tender to the touch... it's not like something I can just wait and indure this shit hurts!

If it hurts that bad, go into the ER and have them lance it for ya.

Hubby isn't home which is why I haven't left to go! I'm sorry I'm in a bitchy mood but between my face issue and where my breast bone meets ribcage feeling bruised I am not a happy camper!! Tylenol doesn't fix all things and My baby shower is this saturday... I don't want to show up looking gross and puffy

Oh. I feel so bad for you. I get them quite often. They have a ointment they sale at Wal-Mart that is named Ichthammol. It comes in a green tube. Warning though, it smells exactly like tar. All you have to do is put some one the boil and stick a band-aid over it. It draws the infection out. It has always worked for me. Hope it works for you.
