re: Update - Torticollis PT

Ok, so here is the scan of Tyler's head before the cranial helmet, and just one month later. Look at the pic as if you are looking down at the top on his head. You can clearly see a difference. Even the fullness on that one side of his face has gone down. He wore the helmet for 4 more months after that. I cant find the picture of the final "product", lol.

DD rolls over from belly to back and from back to belly but only to her left right now. When she's on her belly she will not look to her right at all. No matter how much you try to distract her she will just find something else to look at. She's still young so she's not yet sitting up on her own.

She has a really strong neck, however, and holds it very well.

Oh wow, that is a big difference. That's just about the shape of DD's head too. She may be getting scans within the next month or 2.

Be super adamant about wanting the cranial band quickly. The earlier it's on, the less time she will have to wear it! They were pissing around with Tyler's and I had to call the main office and make them sign the paperwork! We started the process at 4 months and he didn't get the helmet until 7 months old. He was also in two different kinds of therapy. One took place at our home and the other we had to go to a children's therapist. They were awesome, but even their hands were tied when it came to getting him the helmet. Just be very pro-active with it!

I will be! So far things have been running smoothly and in a timely manner. I am very pleased so far with all the help and intervention and everyone has been so kind and resourceful. I hope it continues to be this way without delay.

I hope so too girl! Good luck! Is your daughters face affected by the plageocephaly? Tyler's cheek was alittle puffier on the side where his head was flatter. Almost like it was pushing out some. If you look really closely, I can still tell on him alittle bit.

Nothing too noticeable, but when I study her face head on everything on the left side seems just a tiny bit higher, you can barely even tell. Her PT looked also today and didn't see anything herself except her forehead sticking out just slightly on that side.
