Custody?

Okay, so..... Lilys biological father has been visiting her lately, and hes had about 5 visits. Theyve just been supervised by me and my husband, and were all kind of holding off the court stuff right now.
I dont know if this affects anything, but hes also going through another child support case because he has a son too.
Anyways, Lily warms up to somebody after the second visit at the latest, but with him, she still hasnt warmed up. She cries so hard she stops breathing, and freaks out the second she sees him.
Will the court look at that when it comes down to custody?? Or will that not matter and they will give her to him anyway??

If you tell them the situation, surely they wouldn't let him just take her without supervision. I mean, they want to do what's best for the child. Chances are though, that he will get some sort of visitation, but I wouldn't worry about him getting custody or anything like that.

I'm pretty sure they will take that into consideration, its all about ehats best for the child...

I doubt it. I'm sure he would still get visitation. Eventually she will get used to him.

Depends on your state. My sons bio dad is a loser with a capital L. He is a drug addict, alcoholic, in and out of jail, currently in jail and he has joint custody and supervised visits. Its nearly impossible to terminate a parents rights. Im trying right now to get full custody and tgen im going to apply to terminate his rights. My son is being raised by my bf and it kills me that his sperm donor has legal rights to him.

Are you guys super tense when he comes over? Or angry? Or do you not like him? How old is she?

I would guess they'd do supervised by someone else and re-evaluate shortly. Her feelings will be taken into account, hopefully.

How does he have joint custody by supervised visits? I'm confused

Confuses me too! Idk why I cry about it all the time. He has.supervised visits bc hes an addict but the judge wont take his rights away bc hes quote on quote trying which is a joke. He also had a lawyer and I didnt.

He abandoned me at 2 months pregnant, and didnt come around til she was around 13 months. *shes 15 months now* so yeah, i dont like him. But ive never bad mouthed him in front of her and we make a point of smiling and being happy when hes around so that it doesnt rub off on her or make her feel tense.
