Excellent!
We live in a relatively free coountry and you should be able to feel that way, express your views and know that there may be a cunsumer reaction if you are a business owner. You should not be in fear of the government.

And your opinion should be respected. You shouldn't be forced into believing that. You shouldn't be discriminated against for believing that and you shouldn't be punished for believing that.

If people are going to protest with their money and for the reason they've stated, they should be prepared to be called hypocrites.

You* should stop buying gas....ultimately from OPEC....because the people who own OPEC HANG GAYS for their "sin" of homosexuality.

Are you willing to do that?

I've been boycotting chic-fil-a for almost a year now - they disgust me and as tasty as their chicken is, I won't be supporting their cause.

Sure does. And not just because they hang gays. But it is much easier to boycott chicken, than to boycott gas unfortunately.

Well, financially, OPEC has a MUCH bigger impact on the world and has MUCH more power. If you felt SO STRONGLY about it, you would do everything in your power to not finance and enable the murder of so many.

I see, you boycott when it's easy.

We don't have a chic-fil-a here, so I'm not boycotting anything... Just continuing on with my life. Gay marriage isn't an issue, here... because everyone for equality   ...

It is very difficult to boycott OPEC specifcally. The fact that they only supply 57% of the worlds oil, and most of it goes to europe... So how exactly am I going to figure out what stations they supply, with the small amount that they supply us? It is impossible for us, where we are located, to not rely on gas. We didn't even own a car, until we had to. Can't rely on a horse to trott a family of four to a city 300+ KM within the three hours we're given to get there.

OPEC isn't something you can just easily boycott - I can just choose to not eat Chic-Fil-A and go to another chicken joint (especially since their everywhere here in the south  ), Also, OPEC doesn't specifically hit home to me the way Chic-Fil-A does. Yeah, OPEC has issues, we're all aware, we all get that but Chic-Fil-A, for me, personally, hits home to a point that most heterosexual people wouldn't understand.

Damn skippy. I don't agree with Chic-Fil-A, so I simply avoid it because it's not something I need anyway.

I can't run my life around where to buy gas from and risk running out of gas when I'm on the road for work or with my kids.

Are you aware that Sally Ride (if you dont know who she is, she was the first American woman to go into space)...........who died about, a week ago, left behind a long term same sex partner of 27 years, who the government is saying she is not entitled to Sallys death benefits? Because she happens to be a woman who loved a woman.

I dunno, does this sound RIGHT to you?

Nope. There are ways to change that, though, and it doesn't involve redefining marriage.

I don't relish the thought of that injustice.

Directives should be in place for anyone who chooses to have them. Living trusts and wills should cover all of those things.

...or just letting two consenting adults get married. This country should not be ran by "the church." It should be ran by the government and the government is not doing it's job by not giving basic rights to everyone, no matter what sexual orientation. It is wrong, no matter if you follow those couple Bible scriptures. By CFA donating to those groups, they show me they are against the equality of every citizen. I took his comment in as I would do if someone called one of my gay friends a "smurf." You may have the right to say whatever you wish, but that doesnt mean it isnt harmful. By showing and supporting how he doesnt think that gay people can be considered married or a family unit, he is spreading hate towards gay couples and families. If he didnt want to lash out against the gay community, why didnt he pick another "sin" to cover? Why stick to just this one? What about taking polyester out of worker's uniforms? or maybe talking about how you shouldnt shave? What about lashing out against the condom businesses? I don't think he is just supporting his religious beliefs, I think he is just an arrogant old man who is stuck in a bigot state of mind.
