38 weeks- 2 cm & 75% thinned out....

The dr stripped my membranes and said I was 2 cm and 75% thinned out today. He said my progression since last week is great (0 cm & 50% thinned) and that he bets I will have the baby before my next appt on the 1st.

I am not due until the 8th.... do you guys think this is true? Or is it just false hope? Any experiences or advice??

I'm due a day before you and my baby is a week old today. My doc stripped my membranes at 37 weeks and I went into hard labor the next day.
The pregnancy before this, I went into labor 2 days after my membranes stripped, so it's proven pretty effective for me. I'd say if you can have sex and have an orgasm, that will make things progress even quicker.

I had my membranes stripped with both of my children. With my daughter I went into labor 11 hours after they were stripped. With my son I went into labor 19 hours after they were stripped.

How many week were you?? Did you bleed? I didn't

We're due the same day August 8th last week I was 2 cm dilated and about 25% thin my doctor said three weeks ago that she didnt see me making it to my due date im still very pregnant and nothing although I havehad contractions here and there but nothing to pain full , go back to doctors Friday hope to hear more good news but good luck hope your little one isnt stubborn and make you wait past due date

With my daughter I was 40 weeks. With my son I was 39 weeks.
