First Torticollis PT Appointment Today

posted 25th Jul '12
So DD has her first PT home visit today at 2 pm for her torticollis. I want to be as prepared as I possibly can seeing as it's kinda last minute. Any suggestions as to what I should try to have ready and available for her session. Her sessions will last between 30 mins to 45 mins. Today is her first session so it may be a little longer with introductions. I'm unsure if her therapist will be bringing her own supplies or not.

What did they do? My sons first appointment is in 3 weeks. Did they say how long it'll take for it to be corrected?

Quoting Jaxon Myles' mommy:" What did they do? My sons first appointment is in 3 weeks. Did they say how long it'll take for it to be corrected?"

The PT sat down on the floor with DD and held her in various positions while massaging her neck and gently stretching muscles.

They didn't really give a clear time frame on how long it would take to be corrected. But we should see major improvement by her 1st birthday. It all depends on how early you start. The sooner the better.

Not a problem! The PT was very gentle and the massaging and stretching was non-invasive. DD seemed to enjoy it and would only fuss a little bit when she needed a little break.
