Maybe because you're eating all the food in the house. Have you ever gone food shopping before? It's a pain in the ***. Everything's expensive and to have to buy food for a preggo on top of your normal food budget, on top of the bills..

probably because you're no longer a child, you're expecting one of you own now.. you need to learn how to budget money and such now, you're about to have a kid. get over it, you need to pay bills on your own when you leave anyways.. i think she's actually teaching you a lesson.

Probably because you are deciding to be an adult, therefor she's treating you like one. If you are bringing a baby into the house, eating the food, working, etc, you should pay your way.

I suggest writing out a budget and talking to your mother maturely (if I could underline that word I would) and see where you can save.

It's probably because you're 18. If I would've been living in my mom's house at 18, she would've made me help out too.

I get that it's frustrating to not be able to save as much, but honestly, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. What if she kicks you out? Then where would you go? Not to mention that while you are paying HER bills, you're also paying YOUR bills, because you live there.  

I'm curious what exactly she is asking you to pay. I'm sure she's not being completely unreasonable.

Sounds like an idea! I will then. I really don't do anything except WORK WORK WORK! And spend money on my child that's about it and expenses to get back and forth to and from work I pay my own car note which is $380 a month I really don't have much money left for anything.
