I'm sorry I don't have a recommendation but I just wanted to say that it is an excellent idea to have LO's hearing tested. My 3 children have been/a going to speech therapy. My first two are also have severe speech delays my second has a moderate delay. Getting their hearing tested was step 1 all three times, even if I didn't suspect a hearing impairment. It crosses that possibility off the list for possible speech delay cause and gets things moving much faster

Both my two oldest cover their ears with loud noises. Their hearing is fine...in fact my son's is sharper then usual. It is caused by SPD. They both get over stimulated by loud noises and find it very difficult to tolerate. My son does not have autism but my daughter does.
