getting baby to take tylenol

posted 13th May
My daughter just got her 4 month shots yesterday and has a fever today. I was told to give her infant tylenol. The only issue is is that she will not swallow the liquid. I have tried different ways of giving it to her every 4-6 hours, but I fail every time. She will spit it out and then if I put a paci in right after, she will gag and spit up the meds and her breast milk that she had just drank. She is really fussy and not like herself at all, so I was wondering if anyone had any tips on getting her to take the medicine?

Thank you.

put the dropper between her cheek and teeth then when you pull it out blow in her face. She should swallow before she has a chance to spit it out.

my doctor told me some babies just don't like to take it, and not to force him.

I will have to look around for one of those next time I am out. I think I have seen them at the drugstore around here. Thanks again.

PS
I gave her a small dose, like a quarter of a dose because I am not sure how much she has actually swallowed, if any. Anyways, I blew in her face after I put the dropper between her gums and cheek...and it worked!!! Thank you.

Glad you found something that worked.  Lyds got her shots today and the nurse was too slow and Lydia moved and bled.    <-----sad mommy.

Poor baby!!!
How cute is that, that they are so close in age and weight. We both also live in Michigan.
