Couldnt you have just ignored it and moved on? Everyone wants to be the BG police. And I didnt think it was spam because it was related to BG. There are several admins on that FB page, some of which are members here on BG, and the woman thats making the prize and donating it is also a popular member here on BG.
Nor did they state in the rules that where you ask for votes was limited since their page is open and not something that you have to like before you can see its content.
