my nine month old all of a sudden will not eat anything except for a milk bottle. and he has always been gung ho for anything i wanted to feed him, whenever, wherever. within the past week.. if he sees a spoon coming at him we will cover his face and turn away. the only real food he has had, is when we went out to eat.. he was eating pieces of my roll

Did you breast feed or bottle feed? If you are beastfeeding then that should be his main source of food until a year old. Bottle feeding should be his main source of food until 9 or so months. If he wont eat give him a couple of days and try again. If that does not work try letting him pick his food or presenting it in a fun way. He will eat sooner or later when hes hungry. If you are really worried called your babys doc and see what they reccommend.

He's only 9 months... stick w/ the formula or BM for a while and when he's ready to try again, I'm sure he will.

Whether she is breastfeeding or formula feeding, either one should be the main source of nutrition until they are a year old.

My LO is seven months and she's doing the same thing. I wouldnt worry too much as long as he's staying happy and doesnt lose weight. Babies can be picky eaters sometimes and my LO gets way more interested in what I'm eating instead of her food. Anytime she sees me with a plate, she comes over and waits, even if I've just given her a whole bottle or jar of food. lol
If it makes you feel any better, most babies dont need much more than formula or breast milk for the first year, so as long as his pedi says he's okay, he's just fine. :]

my daughter is basically the same way, we give her table food, and just put it in front of her, anything from pieces of bread, veggies, mac and cheese, chicken, literally anything and she makes a HUGE mess but she eats, if we try with a spoon she wont take it.
