baby born at 31 weeks??

So,my baby cousin was just born!! He is 3lbs and 15ozs!!! Poor baby!! Her due date was September 27th...
Were all really scared cause she gave birth to a still born at 6 months with her first pergnancy and then her 2nd was born at 6 months and she got it home and it died 3 weeks later from a pre mature disease.. Now this one was early also!! Please tell your premature stories!!!!!

My nephew was born at 25wks. He spent 2 months in the nicu but he is a healthy 4 year old now. He has no health problems whatsoever and is even advanced developmentally : )

31 weeks is good, and that's a fine weight, too!
he should be all right, the main thing is to be super careful and make sure he doesn't get any infections.
but that's a good weight, with any luck he'll be home no later than his due date, but might even be home much sooner

I know..She ment further with him then the other angels.. Im glad yall are saying he'll be fine.. and prayers wpuld be amazing!! ej is so happy!! (his daddy) we all are!!! we all just pray she dont lose this LO too 

I had preterm labor during my pregnancy. 31 weeks was our goal! Baby has a very good chance at being perfectly fine. The nicu time will be a trial though. I had a 36 weeker and he came home the day after he was born. My brother and his wife had their kids at 24 weeks and they are now 14 years old. They have some problems, but they were waayyy early.

My sisters were born 3 mths premature they were 1lb 9oz and 1lb 12oz and they are 36 yrs old now with their own children !@ 31 wks that's a good weight baby should be fine plus I wil say a prayer too hope everything goes well Goodluck

yeah,thats alot soonr!! The other day was so sad though...EJ was buying Judy gowns and stuff and got really quite and walked to the baby isle and loaded up on preemie clothes..We wantd to cry..Shes been up there a week and they gave her 24 hours and she went 6 days!!(:

My son was born at 33 weeks 3lbs9oz 16"long. he cried and was nice and pink. put on breathing tube for two hours to help him out...then oxygen for two days feeding tube for two days...he was in Nicu 10 days and stepdown 10 days. the only issues we had were jaundice and had to gain weight to go home. he came home at three weeks old weighing 4lbs 1 oz...he had a hernia and got surgery ....totally normal for preemie males and has reflux...no delays physically he tested at a four month level at two months....he now weighs almost 10lbs and is almost four months old. babies are tiny but very strong..my Dominick is a fighter and little miracle...best of luck and congrats on the new family member

My oldest daughter was born at 26 weeks, she spent two months in the NICU and she was 2lbs even. She was on a ventilator for a while and came home on oxygen and a heart monitor because she had apnea. Now she is a perfectly happy and healthy 3.5 year old   dont get too worried, at 31 weeks even though that is early the odds are in baby's favor
