TWIN TWIN TRANSFUSION SYNDROM

has any1 had this at how many weeks did u give birth a friend on myspace ( i dont really know herother than myspace she friends with my friends and is just 2 cute  well sheis havein twins but she just found out she had this....her doc told her she can terminate at 22 weeks or give birth at 24) i told her about this site but i also wanted to know!!

I have no idea.

personally i would give birth..cause terminating is something you choose to do and they obviously have NO chance whatsoever to live..and if she gave birth at least they have some possibility no matter how small , to make it...but if she chose to terminate, she would have to live with that for the rest of her life..and it isn't something easy to live with..i know, i had an abortion when i was 14, i was only 7 wks. along but to me it was still a part of me and it was still a baby..

They can give them surgery. I'm not sure what it consists of but I saw that show on Discovery Health and all the babies but one lived.

yea i remember seeing that too..but i wonder if her doc told her those things cause of insurance purposes.

i dont think that is what she is going to do..the doc i dont think had anything nice to say to her thou.......told her that if she gives birth they could have HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS LIKE SERIABLE PALSEY  i told her to try a dif doc

i seen that 2 i alson seen another1 were the twin both lived and were fine

I have no idea what you are trying to ask! I am sooo confused!!!! I have read everyone elses' comments and I still cant figure out what you are asking! Is the girl pregnant with conjoined twins or did she just find out it was twins. Or is it 2 cute  (smileys)? I am confused. try to elaborate.

she is prego with twins that have TWIN TWIN TRANSFUSION SYNDROM i wanted know if any1 has had this and at how many weeks they gave birth

I have a friend who has twin girls, they are now four years old but they were delivered at 28 weeks and did great!   They had twin to twin transfusion as well. I have also heard of a surgery they can do, go in and tie off some of the blood vessels so the blood flow is more even between the two. I think she should definitely find a high risk doctor who specializes in that kind of thing, because if it is possible at all to save them, suggesting termination is very calloused! I would switch doctors. He doesnt sound like he would even want to try to help them.

that is what i would do too....get a second opinion or someone who is specialized in this condition.

I didn't read the full topic sentence. All I saw was twin twin on the forums page. The reason I couldn't understand it is because everything is bunched together and makes no sense. But now I know what she is asking. I have heard of it and I know what it is. So I don't need to google it. I have never experienced it nor do I know any one who has. I saw it on the Discovery channel. Maybe you ccan co to Discovery.com and look for the episode on it.
