I would never be okay

So today I went to see my specialist, when I was told the worst news ever. There's a REALLY STRONG possible my baby wont survive. I'm 22 weeks pregnant how do I possibly continue to carry this child knowing only in the end she wont be with me. Am I wrong for wanting to abort???

Did they explain anything to you? Why they thought your baby wouldn't survive? I wouldn't jump the gun yet, a strong possibility isn't a for certain.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm also sorry I can't offer you any advice but be strong.

Well... if you want my honest opinion, yes you are.
What did they say was wrong with the baby? That might change my whole outlook.

You have to have that positive thinking girl. Everything happens for a reason, the more you focus your energy on your LO NOT making it then chances are that will be the outcome.
Focus on a healthy baby being born.

You're not wrong for feeling that way. I can imagine it's emotionally draining. However, if it's just a possibility, then is there not a possibility she well survive?

Back when i was 17 i had lost a child at 24 weeks. The doctors were almost certain she wouldnt live at birth.. They told me that at roughly 20weeks. She had a missing chromosome and possible spina bifida. I didnt listen to them. When i had went for a fetal echo to check her heart they were no longer able to find her heart beat.

In all honestly i wish i would of aborted to save myself from everything i went thru. I had to deliever her vaginally. It was horrible

And no you aren't wrong. Hearing news like that is very scary. But sometimes you have to pray and hope for the best.

Yes its a wide range of things but basically the think she has a chromosome disorder. But they know for sure that her heart only has two chambers instead of four, there's a problem with her kidneys, and some or her intestines are going in a sack outside her stomach inside of where they should

Mama I have no idea what you are going through and I am so sorry that you are facing this tough decision. No, you are not wrong for feeling the way you do. You have loved this baby every day for the passed 22 weeks and your love will always be there for him/her. I wish you the best of luck in which ever direction you decide to go in. <3 ((HUGS))

Firsty I'm really sorry about your news. Do they know exactly what is wrong with your LO? Is it possible to do a amnio test? It may give the doctors a more clearer idea of whats wrong. You are not a wrong or a bad person for wanting to abort if your LO is not fine, some times it saves yourself a lot less heartache.

I'm not saying at all I'm getting one I just feels guilty or thinking that way. But thanks for the honesty

i dont think you're wrong for feeling that way, it normal to not want to hurt, but dont lose hope either.

Oh my goodness. Well, I don't think you're wrong for wanting to abort. I think you need to make the best decision for you at this point. You have to think about what you can handle best.

I, personally, would carry my baby for as long as I could. Even if that meant giving birth to him or her as a still born. I'm just the type of person who holds on tightly to any sort of hope. However, this is your decision love. I wish you the best and again, I'm so sorry you have to deal with this.
