Solid Schedule

posted 13th May
Bryson will be 5 months next week and I'm planning to start him on solid, since I'm all new at this, I'm not really sure how the schedule should be. If any mom out there that could post your baby solid schedule so that way I can get a idea of how it is, thank you sooooo much.

you start one a day ( early is better if there is a reaction) then after a while do two then 3.

Hi tiffany, my doc said that during 3 weeks I should give her solids once a day, then for 3 more weeks twice a day and work my way up to 3 or 4 times a day, but always as a compliment to milk

Ok, so let say...right now I'm giving Bryson 5oz of formula every 3 hours, instead of formula for that hour I should give him cereal and then 3 hours later give him formula? I'm sooo new at this.

ok, he told me I should start my stimulating her taste buds:
1.- for 3 days give her some soup with a little bit of salt, basically boil some vegetables and sift it, give it to her with a spoon but it has to be almost liquid
2.- then for 3 days give her some pureed fruit (pears, bananas or apples)
3.- and for one day 2oz of water with a few drops of lemon

*you can only use a bit of salt and olive oil to make the food
* everything has to be cooked until she's at least 7 months
* everything should be pureed (sp?) food should be almost liquid
* you should add one food every 3 days (to check for allergies)
* Don' wake up the baby to feed him
* Don't force him to eat anything
* You can only reheat food twice
* start off with rice cereal and then start incorporating other foods every three days, you should switch up with, fruit, vegetables and things like potatoes and sweet potatoes...
* he can have, bananas, apples and pears, any yellow, orange or white vegetable.
*at 6 1/2 months they can start having a little chicken and chicken liver
eating food is just complimentary and shouldn't take away from his milk feeding...

I hope this helps
