Even gays will tell you its a harder "lifestyle". She didnt mean it like that, its just different so many people dont accept it so it makes it harder..

Well it must be my area, b/c gays are very accepted around here. I have several gay friends and most of the guys I work with are gay. They never have any issues. Their parents are great too, they usually come in for happy hour. They are really happy, strong people. They never complain about people bothering them. I think my best friend who dates outside her race (which there is nothing wrong with) gets more looks than my gay friends.

u live in a good place then..cause they get critisized here too..a lot..but u live in the south too, i am sure the race thing is a bigger issue there..here it really isn't too big of a deal..which i am glad for that..just wish more people would be more accepting of everyone, gays included.

i do believe that their happiness is most important...but my family is not always accepting, i'm not as lucky as some of you ladies who have wonderful understanding families. I wish i was, but its just the way it is. i would love my child no matter what, but it would i cannot guarantee that my whole family would. I know how horrible it is that they are like that, but they are all very close minded. There were ppl that didnt come to my wedding because me and my DH moved in together before we got married. They are so set in their religous beliefs that it offended them enough not to come. Not that i didnt want them to change their beliefs, but it still hurt. so if something as little as that offended them i can imagine what they'd think if a child was homosexual. But as i said earlier...i would love my child regardless

this just reminds me....in some countries, like India, hermaphrodites and transgendered people are put up on a pedestal...they are almost god-like...the people there believe that they have two souls..one male and one female....just thought this was interesting...

I wish everyone could love people for who they are. That is what I pride myself in. I am the friendliest person. I truely love everyone. Most of the people around here are like that. So you can move here, haha.

Well thats sad for them. I can't believe they wouldn't come to your wedding. My family is kind of a lack there of. If that makes sense. I feel like religious people should be the more accepting of the bunch. They are suppose to love other for who they are and not pass judgement. But I know what you mean. I never doubted your love.

Although we think we have control over what we are attracted to, this too, is purely based on chemical reactions. Without much thought, we think we are only attracted to the outside appearance, but our chemicals lead us to our mates. It's almost like we unconsciously smell out the best genetic match for ourselves.

I forget the screenname, but a few pages ago, someone said something about pushing thier morals on their kids. Morals are so subjective anyhow. What's the difference between a gay couple engaging in anal sex and then a hetero couple engaging in anal sex? It's butt sex, no matter which way you look at it.
