I feel like Super Mommy

Well, while in the hospital I had a Lactation Consultant come and visit my room since I wanted to be breastfeeding with only formula as a supplement. My son was a day shy of 36 weeks when he was born so they told me he probably wouldn't show intrest in the breast much if ever. She told me to still try when he was awake, alert and trying to suck on his hands.

Anyway last night his daddy was able to wake him up fully and he was a still a bit hungry after his feeding so we thought we would try the boob out. He actually latched on and nursed for a good 5-10 min on each breast. It made me feel so happy, in the hospital I think I was just too stressed out and every time I would try to nurse he would start fussing and would push away from me. Of course that made me cry for a while, especially after one of the damn nurses pretty much told me I was a bad mother!

I just thought I would share, it was an amazing feeling because he was looking up at me.. it was great!

Aww congrats! Some nurses are plain evil and shitty. You are a super mommy
