BF moms experienced this?

So last week when I pumped my milk on one side it came out pink. I did it a couple more times and then stopped so I didn't think much about it. But then Sunday night I had bright red milk come out. It's not from a cracked nipple or anything like that. I just came back from the doctor and they were stuned. They're sending my milk to the lab and I'll have to have an ultrasound on my breast? Any one experienced this? if so what was the cause for you and what was done about it?

No, I'm sorry, I have not experienced this. Keep us updated though!

well i haven't had my baby yet so i dunno, but i'm watching in case something similar happens to me..

omigosh thats the weirdest thing ever! they should do maybe do exras on you r breasts or something, or whatever they do maybe?

This happened to my sister in law and it was blood in her milk cause she wasnt eating enough or healthy enough for her body to produce milk.

Yeah, I've heard of that but I've been breastfeeding for 8 weeks. The doctor checked my nipple and breast and there was nothing there either.

Well she wasnt a very healthy person, how she created a healthy baby with her eating habits boggles my mind. She would go a day or two without eating a thing so the doctor had a feeling thats why but they did tests and found blood in the milk and said you eaither get on a healthy eating habit or you wont be able to breastfeed, she chose to stop breastfeeding...

It still could be your body not producing the milk, not due to not eating well enough but some women just dont produce it.. Good luck

i eat like that! my friends used to think i was always on benders or something even though i wasnt a druggie or anything..i just dont ever really feel hungry- i had to force myself during pregnancy. yay for multivitamins is all i gotta say-im still taking prenatal vitamins just because they give me everything i need
